Not that one no, But..... I am a big fan of REM stuff, all of it in fact, its never let me down and has always been better than most of the others.

I trust the brand, if you understand me. If it has the features you want go for it, if not look at another REM.

Christine I cannot comment on that particular couch bur wondered, are you buying it brand new? And are you in a hurry? It's just that I bought my Carlton couch at Excel one year and saved a fortune buying it at a show. Also you can have a good look at all of them at a show.

I'd love to be able to hold off but I will be opening the salon before Olympia, although I could wait the couple of weeks as I would ideally like to try them out before choosing.

Was your couch discounted because it was was ex-display or did you just use your charms? xx:hug:

Neither! It was just a show offer. So it was brand new, and I saved the delivery and the VAT, the total saving was over £200!

Can you not 'make do' with any old couch while you're choosing the perfect one?

I started with a portable couch that one of my brothers gave me (he's a trained massage therapist) then a year later a therapist who was closing down gave me her old hydraulic one. Then another year later when I had built up enough clientele to warrant spending a fortune on a couch  I invested in my Carlton.

I do love my electric couch. It's especially good when you get little old ladies in - you can lower it down nice and low for them to hop on - no polevaulting needed - and when you are waxing if you raise the couch up it can really save your back.

There is one thing I don't like about my couch and I know someone else with the same couch has the same problem - because it is extra wide, which is super comfortable for the client, it's actually not so easy to use it for massage. This might sound strange but you have to lean farther over and I find that a strain on my back. Never happy, me!

I have the same couch as Zoe and its the best investment ever. I havent found the width of the couch a problem more a luxury. I do have to walk around the couch more during massage but I have plenty of room to do this in my room and I don't find this a problem for me particularly. The couch is used for virtually all of my clients (apart from manicure and spray tanning).

Good luck Chris with your new salon.. I bet you are so excited :)
