Bellus Academy, the prestigious beauty and wellness education institution headquartered in San Diego, Calif., announced its president and accomplished business industry leader, Lynelle Lynch, was selected as a top finalist for San Diego Magazine’s “Woman of the Year Awards”.

As President of Bellus Academy, Lynelle Lynch has championed an elevated academic approach to beauty and wellness education for both students and educators and has consistently produced graduates that are recognized as top professionals. Among her accomplishments in the areas of fashion, business, marketing and politics, she is also dedicated to numerous civic and charitable causes and is a founding member of the non-profit, Beauty Changes Lives, which funds scholarships for future professionals in the Beauty and Wellness Industry. She has also conducted charity work for Domestic Abuse and Cut-It-Out programs.

“It’s a great honor to represent Bellus Academy and to be recognized by my community as an industry leader,” said Lynch. “The consistent curriculum development and my like-minded team truly enable Bellus to function as San Diego’s authority in beauty and wellness industry education.”

The annual event aims to honor dynamic local women who work to affect positive change and enhance the community. In order to be nominated, finalists are required to contribute to their companies above and beyond the normal position demands, have been in business for over five years and possess a strong commitment to community service.

“All of the nominees work tirelessly for their causes and create real, positive change in the community,” said San Diego Magazine CEO & Publisher, Jim Fitzpatrick. “They are pushing for more innovation in business, technology, fashion, philanthropy, media and so many other sectors of San Diego life. We are proud to recognize them and show our support.”

Until then...geek on!
