Beauty management project help

I'm currently studying the HND in hair and beauty management. I am level 3 qualified in beauty and nails and currently working in a small salon environment.

I am trying to think of a topic for the research project module. I was originally going to research skin testing but its such a grey area i'm now thinking this may not be the best choice.

does anyone have any ideas on areas that may be easier to find information on? I can't seam to think of anything else as my brain keeps focusing on skin testing.

Can I ask why you think skin testing is such a grey area?

Why are you doing the course? Is it to improve your opportunity to secure a management role or to run your own Salon?

If so, I'd try to find a topic that focuses on some aspect of managing a Salon, if that's feasible?
You are already well qualified in beauty and it could be of interest to a prospective employer.
