This year's Beauty Shortlist awards will honour the 'Best of British Beauty', which in a year of the Jubilee and the London Olympics, probably comes as no surprise.
The awards were created by journalist Fiona Klonarides in 2009 in an effort to highlight the best of beauty with an emphasis on natural, organic and eco-luxury brands. The awards were also nominated in Marie Claire's Best Beauty Blog Awards competition...so it's worth looking out for the winners. It's starting to gain some clout.
This years main categories are Best British Skincare Brand (nominees: Oskia, Elemis and Sarah Chapman), Best Natural/Organic Brand (nominees: Neals Yard Remedies, Dr. Alkaitis, Weleda), Best Value Natural/Organic Brand (nominees: Dr. Organic, Purity Skincare, Lavera), Best 'Give Back' Brand, Best 'Bee' Beauty Product, and Best Beauty Breakthrough.
There will also be four more 'People's Choice' categories which will consist of Best Luxury Beauty Brand, Best Natural/Organic Beauty Retail Site, Best Men's Grooming Site, and Best Natural Baby Brand.
