Hello everyone, I need little you guys to help me. I am a qualified beauty therapist but I have been working in a specific field such as nails and eye treatments for years and before that I was full time mom.
I am now working part time in a beauty salon providing A to Z beauty treatments. My problem is that the salon that I work now opened another branch providing same treatments but using different products. I am working there only half day a week in this new branch. I got the training but I rarely get to perform these aesthetic facials. I have done only 3 facials in this past 1year and because of this lack of practice and not having chance to do it regularly. I have forgotten everything when I get to do one. I am happy performing all the A to Z treatments in the other place where I am based. I have raised this with my line manager but he says I should read my notes and attend training portal regularly to keep up but to me I need practice regularly with the products to feel confident while doing it. Am I being too much to refused doing facial at this second place where I rarely get to practice. Your advice, suggestion and thoughts are highly appreciated.
Thank you very much for help.

Best thing is to just get stuck in. You're client isn't going to know what massage moves or products go when and where. You'll very soon pick it back up, and even make some moves up yourself. You can't go wrong really. Just do your usual cleanse, tone, moisturise with masks and other specialist treatments in between. Making sure you do your skin analysis, review clients current skin care routine to see if you can up sell any products etc. Then agree a realistic treatment plan and get them book back in before they leave. Just take your time, and have some fun with it. All learning is good. And do tons of reflection after.
Hope this helps
