Hi all.
Just a quick one. Has anyone ever worked on an aircraft doing beauty therapy?
I'm really interested in doing this. I dont mind travelling too and from the airport, just wouldnt be able to stay places over night as i have a little boy.
I've searched the net but it's proving difficult to find out any info on where to start with something like this.
Any help or guidence would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks

One of the charter / package companies also offer it, I believe they used Dermalogica products too. Can't remember the name of the company though!

my friend was an on flight therapist for virgin, but they have stopped it now. she has retrained and is now an air hostess. as she caught the travel bug. im not sure if an other air line offer it.

hope that helps alittle

I know that Virgin did offer something like this but I would be very suprised if any airlines that wasn't trans atlantic or pacific bound offered it. All of these flights would not be a there and back and home by tea time type of flight. There just isn't time on shorter flights and i'd imagine it is only offered in the business and first cabins. I travel business class fairly often on different airlines and have never found one that offers something like this.

I did a bit of a google and found this.
This might help you as you wouldn't have to be away from home overnight, but it looks like a pretty early start!
I think you'll find it hard to be onboard though, as I agree that it's surely going to be long haul flights which offer this.

This is an area where you have to be employed by an airline - somebody like Virgin or BA would probably offer these services to Business and First Class passengers. As somebody said previously, it would be on long haul flights only.

I used to work for various airlines (not as a therapist) and I know they would not take anyone on, on a freelance basis. There are major security issues and they would want services for all first class/business class flights and not just one or two here and there. Bearing in mind there can be 11 or 12 flights a day.

If you live near an airport, you could target the business departure lounges at airports? Virgin and BA would have their own executive departure lounge (with their own staff), but there are more general ones that cater for several airlines' passengers and are run by contract handlers. You could check out the website of your local airport or contact information.
