To on a course! Shall I set a class up, how to tie hair up for dummies.... Actually is there a book out in that range? My bf being a DJ has a dj'ing for dummies book, its massive and stupid, there has to be a hairdressing one, imagine your clients spotting that half way through a colour :S

Back to my idea, could do a mini class showing the dads and moms of course how to do simple pony trails, pig tails, French plait, mini plaits, fish plait, the easy but pretty things that are only easy when you know how!?

I a dummy though. I think it's because I grew up with hair 1 inch long all over and would rather play with my pet garden snails then girls worlds lol

I tried the Hoover pony tail..couldn't even get that right xx

Hahahaaa I was crying when I saw that lol!! Like mm (op with the lips pic) says, get a block and YouTube how to do .... Can be done with practice :)

You don't need a course for hair up, get a dolls head and a pack of grips
And you tube Lilith moon is good for simple up-dos

Do you just not do them in the salon?

We have a couple of freelance hair up specialists. I trained at a time hair ups were really "out" it was the late 90s anti blow dry and hair up era. Our salon was an Aveda concept salon an d the boss wouldn't even let us use brushes, everything had to be natural and organic. I can do a finger dry that looks like an hour of brush work though lol

I'm the same with perms, trained when no-one got perms apart from granny's, the salon I trained in wasn't a granny's salon and never been asked for one!

I would love to see a finger dry that looks like a hour of brush work :) That would be amazing

I have done 2 perms in 15 years!! In fact, when I was training I did an advanced modern apprenticeship and my accessor let me pretend to perm someone's hair with water instead of lotion lol and passed me on hair up on the basis that I would never be doing it in the salon anyway! I feel all vulnerable admitting that now!! I was working as a colour tech operating a full colour column at the time so wasn't completely useless lol
Not tried a finger blow dry for years!

Struggling to upload from an iPad :/

Maybe he should have a thread of his own? Then he can post all his pics and have all the attention!

Agree then you wouldn't have to look and start hating on his lovely work. But best would be to give him a break I guess.. Xox

Not sure what you're getting at there (abt his own thread lol)but that sounds a bit childish to me! It's to post pics of your work, and he posts pics the same as everyone else but you can guarantee he'll get slated for something. He's still learning and he gets a lot of stick in my opinion!

Well said!

Hopefully iv finally worked out how to post pictures now! Lovely work by everyone by the way :) xxx

Thanks very much :) for the red one? It's affinage b red. I have the red violet on my own hair, this is the true red. I love the shine and intensity it gives :) xxx

It's very pretty. I didn't realise this could be used as a global colour :)

You can't use it on scalp, so I used an aveda 6 intense red on the roots, but I think it looks quite nice with a deeper red at the roots anyway :) xxx
