Let me know how you get on with rings will be good to see how they work x

Wow i love it and what a transformation. Did you curl the hair or is it body wave? And is that a weave or bonds or microloop. I bet the client is over the moon a real makeover great before and after.

Thank you :)

No I curled it for her and they were micro rings

First time posting pictures so please be nice :)

I used Foxy's standard indian remy 4A, prebonded with ultra sonic fusion.
The customer is growing out her sidecuts and has only 4-5 cm hair on the sides. Her hair is very thin, so we only used 100 strands (0,8g)

She didn't want more trimming - I'd like to cut it a bit more. The hair is single ended and thin at the ends.

Fantastic. I can see it's thin at the ends but your join is seamless, not many people get the blend right. Good job. 👍

First time doing Nano Rings! (Assesment model) 160 strands, 4 colours 😊 ImageUploadedBySalonGeek1397924605.240523.jpg

My first attempt (assessment model), studio58 approx 120 stands & also applied some in fringe for thickness.

Was wanting to ask, if a client wants extra or xx extra thick hair do I increase the num of stands to fit, (if so approx how much) or do I use a different source like Russian hair with say 200 strands? Help much appreciated xx

Hi T. So pleased you posted your model pics from our training days with Studio58 i was very pleased with your work. You were a model student with the very attitude that is a pleasure to teach. You have the passion to learn and even wanting to implement the tricky skill of thickening a fine fringe - this is an advanced technique that is not usual for a training day but delighted to have the chance to assist you with this additional skill so early on. To answer your question (you will also find this is your manual)

The following based on Studio58 Indian Remy - 0.9 to 1gram per strand.
Fine to medium hair = 6 to 7 packs 120 to 140 pieces
Medium to thick hair = 7 to 8 packs 140 to 160 pieces
Thick = 8 to 9 packs packs = 160 to 180 pieces
Very thick = 9 to 10 packs 180 to 200 pieces

Over 10 packs is almost unheard of unless very thick hair plus very short hair and layers.
If you choose to use a weight per strand of 0.5/0.6 gram from an alternative supplier then you will need a lot more pieces to achieve the same look as say 0.9 to 1 gram per strand.
The majority of your clients will fall into the bracket of fine to medium which requires 6 to 7 packs.
Lesser weight the more your need.

Congratulations T, very proud of you and i know you will continue to be very successful. If you need any further guidance following your training days you know i am here to help you.
Best wishes Studio58

Hiya! I think you will pick this up with experience, I definitely do t use S58 hair however with my supplier, and 0.8-1g strands I use anywhere from 150 to 200 for a normal head. (Averages around 170)
However if someone has very thick hair, want very big hair (&natural hair can hold this) or a blunt line/short layers to blend, I use more.
Last week I did one full head of 240 and another of 290! This is in mini locks however.
I chatge a basic and state any extras are subject to price change then charge accordingly x
