Hi,

I've been looking around for a training course for a while and I've read through various threads on this site about CND and NSI. Just wondered if anyone has trained with Nailzone in Glasgow? There offering a 2 day beginners course for £299 + vat and accept ila scotland funding towards it which sounds really good however I wanted to know if anyone has attended the course and if its any good?

Thanks,

Amy

A 2 day beginners course will be just that - an introduction to nails, you will not come away as a full qualified nail tech. IMO you are better off doing a Foundation course with one of the well-respected product manufacturers - CND, NSI, Ez Flow, Young Nails etc. You will receive quality education and a structured path to follow to improve your skills.

If you do this course and enjoy it you will end up paying again to do a Foundation course so you might as well save the £299!

Always go with REPUTATION .. no company in the world has a better reputation for quality training than CND. You have a local trainer so get in touch with [email protected] or by phoning 01313333180 A 2 day course will never prepare you to work in the industry ... it is just not that simple.

I am going to train with NSI nails at the end of the month. CND looks great but I find it so expensive and can't afford it right now.

Interesting as actually CND is not so expensive when one does a proper comparison and the training is incomparable really ...

We are all different, but when I want something (and I only ever really want the best) I wait until I can afford to have what I want rather than not.

As we stick to the facts here on the salongeek it has to be said that CND products and the costs to train with them are fairly in line with the industry ... the biggest difference is the quality not the price.

I have to say, i have just completed the first three days of the CND Foundation course and have found it really good but absolutely packed full of information so much so its whirring around my head and im not even finished the course yet. If anything even 6 days isnt enough, I'd love if it was a lot longer even. One of the educators told me that in Russia the CND Foundation course is 18 days long and they have to sleep there!! I'd nearly go to Russia for it if i could speak russian!!! But really there is just no possiblity that you would learn enough in 2 days, as i said even 6 days is too short but at least with CND you can go back and do further training aswell. Expensive but worth it from what i can see, im glad i didnt go down the cheap route.

Hi Amy

As the others have said reputaion is a big thing to look at and not the price as you may have to shell out more in the long run to get quality training.

If you Like you could pm lthomson she did the class with the company you are taking about and will give you any advice on her experience

Hope is helps
