Hi Geeks,I am checking out some belly dancing classes this week, something I really fancied doing, just wondered if any of you guys on here have done it and how you got on ..thanks.:)

you may be surprised, but i am an ex belly dancer !
not professional or anything, but did belong to a club and danced every week.

i found it a good source of relaxation.
i am not really a natural dancer and found it quite difficult, so all my thoughts were directed to the dancing and my troubles were blotted out.

when i first started it really made me ache, but as i became more used to it my body became very flexible. its really good for tightening and toning.
its a lot of fun and the music is lovely.

but the best thing of all.....................
the lovely outfits !

I tried a "taster session" once and it was fun. We were told to bring a scarf to tie round our hips. Hope you enjoy it! xx

hi there, just wanted to let you know, bellydancing is the best thing ive ever done,
5 years ago i saw it on holiday, i wanted to learn it so badly, i bought a dvd, and tryed to learn it in my living room, i was sooo rubbish, but i kept on with it, after a year i started going to lessons, and it all clicked
its tricky at first, but it makes you feel, all women,
ive now danced in spain, and india, and do shows over here ,
please try it, if you want any music let me know, for dvds, i recommend , neena and veena, the bellydancing twins, just type in bellytwins or neena and veena, good luck, let me know how you go, happy shimmying
