Have decided to give Berins waxes a try to see what they are like. I want to try the berins blue and berins ease.
I have a hive 1000cc heater and am wondering if the pots will fit in the heater as they seem too small.
Not too worried about the berins blue as i can pour the beads into a spare tin that fits exactly in the heater.
The berins ease tin looks too small though and i don't want to mess about trying to get the wax into a larger tin.
I know i could melt the wax and pour it into a larger tin but i am going to end up heating half-sized tins all the time aren't i?
How do you do yours?

I just wrap my tin with tin foil and it fits into the heater nice. And it also helps keep my wax pot clean.

Collin has some empty larger Berins tins that you could use in your 1000cc as the tins with product in are too small in height to fit in your heater and too large to fit into the 500cc heater.

Give him a call and ask him to send you a couple of empty tins.

Well that's what i was worried about.
If they are too small in height then how do i heat them up in the first place to transfer them into a larger tin? :irked:
Seems a lot of hassle.
Why can't they make larger tins :)

Im the same as you as iv decided to try Berins, i orderd my first tin to try ease and it came yesterday which im really please with the fast service by the way. Anyway iv put it in my hive heater 1000c and its way too small with loads of room around the sides and half way down lol. Im so glad you did this thread cos i was woundering how i was going to get around this. With it not fitting right you dont get the heat right aswell as its still not melted right.I will ask colling he could send me some tins then. Will i have to tip it on its side and melt it in like i do with the hive brand please?

I usually use either (i) an empty 800g tin for the Blue, or (ii) a Hive bucket

I have a feeling the Ease may be available in larger tins shortly... I am sure Collin will clarify :)

I have two 1000wt Hive heaters on the go, one with Berins Blue and the other with Ease. I use a smaller Hive 500wt to sit a tin of Ease in to soften during the day to top up my larger heater as and when required, and as you said, just add the blue beads as and when you need to to the hot wax heater. In the summer I use the smaller 500wt heater to house the Jetset as an additional wax as this is good for setting up quicker when it gets a bit hot and sticky in my salon.

Sorry, was early this morning before work when I wrote my reply - doh!

I used to have a 500cc hive heater for my ease but I now have a double babyliss heater with two tins on the go at the same time. I do so much waxing that one on the go just isn't enough. I usually get half way down each tin and then empty one half into the other half full and then put a new can in the heater.

But... in answer to your question, you will have difficulty heating them up.

Put your empty larger tin in the heater and balance the smaller one upside down on top of your heater so that it drips into the large tin as it melts,

or place small tin in some very hot water so it melts around the sides and then tip it into the larger tin, hth

Have only just bought my hive heaters and don't really want to fork out for another smaller one.
I just wanted to give them a try but i really don't want to be faffing about pouring wax into the heater and waiting for it to melt over the drip bar.
Think i will just have a try with the blue and leave the ease, i just can't be bothered-lol.
It was the blue i mainly wanted to try anyway as i love my Perron Rigot cristal ocean and i can just put the tin straight into my heater and it fits perfect and it's more economical!

I totally agree about not wanting to faff about.

Just get an empty tin, ask Collin if you can buy one, they'll probably only be about a pound or two, better still, get half a dozen and squirrel them away. Then get your Blue in a bag rather than a tin, fill the empty tin up with beads and as you use it, keep topping it up :)

Easy peasy.

I do like the Ease, however it is very different to Cristal Ocean, much thicker in its application but less sticky residue (in my opinion). I like them both :)

Wait and see if it becomes available in 800g tins.

Yes we are in the process of getting larger filled tins of ease produced...until then we do indeed have the larger empty tins for the interim...to assist this problem these tins are available free of charge with any orders.

Talking of which .....hold back your orders for a week or so and keep an eye out for banners comming soon...could help you even further :wink2:

I can't wait a week! Patience is not one of my strong points-lol
I already have empty tins that i had from Thalgo so i will just get the blue beads.
To be honest the Ease may leave less residue but i think it's a lot less cost effective than the cristal ocean so if i like the blue then at least my waxes will be colour co-ordinated!
