Just a quickie - I purchased this nice big fat chunky barrel but doesn't give me the curls - not hot enough??
Can anyone recommend a good one to buy

I have a diva one in 2 different sizes I love it would highly recommend it x

Love the h2d 3 in 1 wand :)

Use an 1 1/4". Instead of a large barrel. You'll get a better result!!

I agree with Steven that you need a smaller barrel if you want curls. A larger one is generally used for creating waves.

I understand your post. However, you won't achieve that look with a curling iron. The second you run your hair through a curling iron, you reduce a good amount of the fullness and natural texture. A curling iron will act similar to a flat iron, in that it will smooth down all the natural texture of the hair to then curl it. You're much better off practicing and perfecting a wavy blow out with a mason-pearson type brush, natural boar bristle brush or hot rollers. A heated iron tool will not give you the effect you are looking for.
