I am currently studying ITEC Beauty Specialist level 2. Where I go for my beauty course they are running a summer school with several one day courses and I was wondering if anyone would be willing to give me their opinions of which treatments would be the most popular and income/profit generating of the three courses I am thinking of doing.

Ideally, if money wasn't an option I would do all three, unfortunately I don't think I can afford all of them at once. The courses I am interested in are:

  • Advanced Waxing - cheapest (But I am wanting to do advanced courses in the near future with Kim Lawless when I am qualified - I'm slighlty more inclined to wait till then)

  • Art Deco Make Up - middle (any comments on this range greatly recieved)

  • Eyelash Perming - most expensive as includes a full working kit (other courses dont include kits)

Of all of them I'd like to do all them equally as much - greedy  arn't I, so any advice from you lovely Geeks will be much appreciated!

Thanks in advance

Here's my take:-

Eyelash Perming: This isn't much of a money maker as despite what they may tell you, most people do not have it done. Yes, you might get the odd client who wouldn't do without it, but generally speaking, your kit will just gather dust.

Advanced Waxing: You will have the opportunity of making lots of money from this. Thanks for your comments on wanting to train with me. I appreciate it.

Art Deco Make Up: Being a make up artist is a reall skill and gives you the opportunity to make money from wedding, proms etc. However, if this course is more brand training that make up, I would find a course which doesn't tie you into any particular brand.

Hope that helps. xx

Thanks Kim for your advice. I think I will definately go for the waxing and maybe see about doing the Art Deco - money permitting.
