Hello All,

I wanted to know what the best gek is in terms of price, application and how easy it is to get hold of.

Basically, I specialise in nails and use LCN. I do A LOT of manicures & pedicures, and the odd full set.

I have been using the sculpture gel which I find nice, but would like to know if, once you are qualified to do gel nail extensions, do you need the training with each individual nail company?

I would like to spread my wings abit with other products, but & this is a big BUT....... Does anyone use every product from 1 company.

I do, as I think it looks professional and if you trust the product then use the whole product range.

Thanks in advance

Why is opi half the cost of brisa? which do you prefer and why?

Hi Carly

I trained originally with LCN, some 8 years ago. Loved the whole range, but just 2 years ago, started to have problems with really bad lifting, and the colour and consistency of the gels constantly changed. I decided to do some research and trials on other gels, and found a fab gel, which was better in terms of performance, and the outcome in terms of look was the same as LCN. As you know I love the LCN gel clarity and flexibility and high gloss finish. So found NSI Balance Gel ranges. I have been using this for 2 years now, and find it great to apply and work with. There is the same ranges of colours for the sculpture gels and the application method is very similar.

I have no lifting what so every and my clients love it. The added benefit, which I was always mindful off was the price. The NSI gels are alot cheaper for the same volume of pots. £29 plus VAT for a 30 ml pot (slightly bigger than the LCN sculpture pot). So you could say half the price. The return on a full set of nails is alot greater.

I never had any training with NSI, and they were happy to supply to me. You may wish to practice with the starter kit, as the gel consistency of the Builder Gels are very similar to the One component gel from LCN. But once mastered the gel does most of the work for you in terms of your apex etc. So in my view cuts downt the treatment time. Additionally the Frech Gel is slightly thicker that the LCN FM White and you get alot more crisper smile line.

The packaging is all silver (although LCN have just changed all their branding to silver) so looks smart on your nail station.

I hope I have given you a outline of this, and I hope I have helped.

Good Luck and if you have any other questions, just let me know.

Julie x
