Best topcoat for foil?

Hello Everyone

I am new to this board as well as to the industry so please excuse my questions if they're quite newbish, but I was wondering if any of you use foils and if so, what topcoat do you find is best to use? Are there any out there that will prevent the foil from wrinkling or "antiquing" once their applied?

Also, just out of curiousity do you think that CND stickey basecoat could be used as an anchor for the foil since it dries tacky like the foil adhesive? Just wondering.

Foil adhesive is best for applying foil.

I've never seen a foil application that wasn't wrinkled actually.

For wrinkle free foil there is nothing to beat Minx veneers!! Take a look.

I use a foil sealer - Spangles at the mo - and then i put a coat of quick drying top coat over the top of that - MISA Breakneck works wonderfully!

Never thought of putting the Misa one directly on the foil - will have to give it a go! :lol:

Thank you so much ladies for taking the time to answer I was reading on the beautytech forum that someone else uses the Stickey Basecoat and said it works fine for her so I'm going to test that theory on myself. Someone else said they overlay gel to seal. Has anyone tried that?
