Best way to get orange hair pink?

Hi my client has currently got a rose gold balayage. She's decided she now fancies the dusky pink tones. The previous colour has faded quite a lot and the colour that's left is like a 9/43 all over (apart from dark root)
I'm thinking of darkening the top section down abit going into the light ends.
I know what I fancy for the pink colour to apply but unsure how it will go on the orange. Would I have to remove the orange first or try to counteract it or just leave it and go in with the pink? Thanks

I always think of dusky pink as having a blue tinge to it rather than red so I think if you applied a pink tint to the orange, you'd end up with more of a salmon pink colour.

I think you need to neutralise the orange first.
