Yes - I would dearly love for Bio gel to be cheaper but we dont want the gel getting into the wrong hands do we.:lol::lol:

So i wasn't going nuts when i could not find it on the net...
Well if bio is so expensive has anyone used another brand that they are happy with?.... I HATE LE Chat gel and like i said i have been using IBD and are very happy with that just the colour range is not great.

Thanks for all the replies..
Mel

I use calgel but it's expensive too. I just don't think you can beat the results.

Is it IBD soak off you're talking about? I've just been looking at a catalouge wondering about getting a colour to try.

There are a couple of places that do coloured gels....

Akzentz,Nail Creation and Pina Parie....HTH x

It is not the price that keeps products out of the wrong hands ... it is the policies of the company towards those to whom they sell their products.

In my opinion, if one wants to keep a brand out of the hands of the cowboys/non professionals then make it as sure as one can that they cannot get hold of it without presenting their 'credentials' so to speak.

Most of the troubles and problems we have with untrained persons using professional products is laid right at the door of the companies that sell to anyone at all, with or without training ... and a vast majority of them do just that. In my humble opinion this is the greatest reason why our industry is, by and large, not respected.

Biosculpture is a great product, but still needs more improvement like some other products on the market. My opinion is that from experience, it is one of the top rated colour gels on the market and I havent found any other gel that equates to it as yet.

Biosculpture isnt cheap, I think you have to give careful consideration as to whether you want to train with the company and invest in their products. They never have any offers or discounts either and I guess thats their positive way of making profit for their company.

If you are able and want to charge the high-end prices for biosculpture overlays and enhancements then you will make a profit. However if you are going to charge on the lower end of the market there is no point investing in the product.

I have noticed the odd biosculpture product on ebay as I only did a search just for curiosity to see who would be brave enough to sell on there!

Yes and they are charging an absolute fortune for it.

You cannot buy Bio on the cheap (unless of course you're using an unauthorised source to get it that is).

From memory, on the day of my assessment, I was asked to sign a disclaimer stating that I would not "sell on" any Bio products, thus making myself a sub-distributor, nor would I undertake to train another other person to use Bio Gel.

I doubt whether this policy has changed, as Bio are and have always been 100% committed to only providing training and products to nail techs who have done courses or conversion courses with them directly.

You will never see Bio Sculpture selling any of their gels or sundry products at trade shows either btw.

Thanks guys... Yes it is IBD soak off that i ordered yesterday.. will let you know how it is,.,
X Mel
