hi everyone just looking for a bit of help.
recently trained in bio sculpture and have been practising really hard for my assessment. all has gone well except for a couple of clients.

when applying my first layer of colour the gel was ok for a few seconds and then began to get dimples in it (i thought i might have had bubbles in my gel but double checked and it was smooth on the brush) i thought that maybe it would be ok once cured but it stayed the same leaving an uneven finish.
once the second layer was applyed and cured it was almost unnoticable but not quite and obviously i wasnt happy with my work.

i did all the prep that we were taught and made sure my brushes were dual cleansed and so i really dont know where i am going wrong. any sugestions would be brilliant

Just guessing but....sounds like either applied too thin or oil on the nail...also gently mix your gel before using. HTH x

I have this problem if I apply it to thick.

i trained in calgel a few months ago, but when ever i use my bio colours that i practise with i get this pitting to, im thinking i maybe applying it thick

Are you wiping your brush with cleanser in between applying each layer, maybe your brush still has some on it when you applying your gel, just a thought. x

when you clean your brush before use make sure that you have wiped it dry VERY well.
i had this problem when i started,it was due to that so now i make sure that i dry the brush out with abit of couch roll/kitchen roll.

Hi make sure you haven't mixed up your clear gel with your S gel on the base coat. If not then try apply thinner and always wipe and dry your brush. Also make sure you are curring for the right amount of time. Hope this helps.:)

thanks for all your replies. im back in work tommorow so ill give my brushes a good clean an try doin my layers a bit thinner. ill let you know how i get on.
thank you
