hi everyone,
i wonder if anyone can help, ive been doing bio sculpture for about 8 months now and have always had a problem with my gel pots.
despite keeping them cool, out of sunlight and away from my lamp, when stirring the gel there are quite often parts in the pot that are hard (as if they have been cured).
its driving me nuts as obviously i am losing a lot of product when i remove it.
does anyone else have this problem or am i missing something.
any advice would be great

Does it happen with every pot or just some of them?

Keeping gel pots away from sunlight and your lamp is the correct thing to do, but you should also replace the pot lids in between curing so that the gel isn't exposed any more than is necessary.

Biosculpture sells a gel bag, which protects your gel from the sun etc.

You need to keep your gels away from the lamp and also remember to tighten the lids after each use!

I've lost 2 big pots of gels by not tightening lids after doing a mobile service!

it seems to just be all the clear gels, like s and sealer. dont seem to have any trouble with colours, fairly certain that i do them up as tight as possible but will double check tomorrow. if they are think i will try purcasing a bio bag and see if that helps at all. thanks very much

Have to say I've never had this problem and I've been using the product for years.

I am in the habit of popping the lid on though as I work... maybe the gel is being cured in the pot if it's being exposed to the light, so make sure to keep the lid on when you're not using it... God what a waste, it's soooo expensive so I hope you solve the problem x x
