Hi ladies,
i have my bio assesment on monday so have been reading through my tech manual.
i've got an exam that i need to fill out and take with me.
one of the questions is what is the only gel that cannot be applied directly to the natural nail. In the book is says that s-gel should never be applied to the natural mail.
i was under the impression that the colours cannot be put straight on the nail, so now i am confused!!!!!

No its def the s-gel that cannot go straight onto natural nail - as you know that its too rigid.

In theory you can put a colour gel onto natural nail BUT it perfoems better with a very thin layer of clear.

So stick to the s-gel as your answer.

S Gel is the answer ... good luck with your assessment

I put coloured gel onto the natural nail on toes....and theoretically it can be done on fingers too. The only reason you are taught to use clear gel first is to give extra stength - the coloured gel has little strength in it alone, however as strength is not needed on toes (as there is little FE), its fine to apply without a clear coat under.

I also use sealer on the natural nail if doing french as it doesn't discolour.

And yes, for the purpose of your assessment, S-gel is the correct anwer as this cannot go straight on the natural nail.

Good luck with your assessment - welcome to the world of Bio geeks!

:hug:GOOD LUCK !!!

thanks ladies!
