Hi guys, i have completed my Bio Sculpture training in StAlbans and am now practicing on my friends. So far i have done 4 sets of hands!! but it took me around 2 hours to complete each time.

Last night i did my first nail sculpture and pink french overlay and that took over 2 hours. i am so nervous i am doin it all wrong and too slow...can anyone else relate to this when they started out?. i go through the preping at the start and do take my time getting the cuticle outline perfect and then go onto each gel layer and finally when i put on my S-Gel as a final layer i am not sure whether i always should buff it gently to make it smoother... or should i just leave it if it looks OK and doesnt have any bumps etc..

sorry if this sounds silly but on the course i am sure we were told if you file/buff the S-Gel after curing to shape the nail you should re-apply another coat of S-Gel and cure again. But when i called up the H/Office they said i do not need apply another layer of S-Gel after filing/buffing - just wipe with Dual Cleanser and then apply Top Coat.

can anyone break the steps down a bit for me from Prep to final coat. I find that what i learnt on the day is not so in tune with what is detailed in the Manual - has anyone else found this..... if you do Bio Sculpture can you enlighten me! i am desperate to practice but want to get into a routine to decrease my working time - my assessment is end of this month.....!!!! ahhhh

Just wanted to see if anyone has any advice re my message on starting out with Bio Sculpture - I am finding it a little confusing between what we are taught in the training to what we get in the manual. Also had my nails done recently and the procedure used was completly diffrent. would love to hear some feedback from any Bio Sculpture techs out there........?:)

Hi there,
Hope your well and finding bio a little easier now!
I've been a bio technician for 5 months now i started with young nails silk, gel and acrylics but thought the product was awful and didn't last.
I went to train with bio sculpture which i find a really really good product. When attending the training i found it so so confusing everything is crammed into the two days training i thought the educator knew what she was talking about but couldn't explain it in a very good way.
My exam was awful where SG Bella said hers was laid back mine was completely different!!!! the educator loved herself and talked about herself right through the exam she also fired questions at us in front of EVERYONE else which was humiliating enough!!! as well as her shouting for example you have 1 hour left.... then she'd say things like i'm concerned about you, it looks like your not going to finish on time!!!!! how pressurising!! She wasn't nice at all!
Other than that the product is brill its hard at first but the more you do it the quicker you get it just takes time! it used to take me two hours to do a set i've been doing about 15-17 sets a week over 2 and 1/2 days for five months and i'm now takes me an hour to do a gel overlay.
Sculptures are different i still struggle and it still takes me 2 1/2 hours to do one full set altho i have only done 3 sets ha!
And your right the manual is confusing. I got the bio training DVD and i have the manual the best of it was... i found a fault the manual said something totally different then the DVD which bio sculpture just corrected no apology nothing!
If anyone else found there tutors were like mine let me know!
Thanks
Karen xx
