Evening all - just a quick question if you don't mind.x

Have just been practising my clear french overlay and am having huge probs with the shaping of the upper arch - zone1. There is a definite ridge where the white is applied.

Is is normal practise to buff this to create a smooth arch? Or would you build over the ridge? Or should the ridge not be there in the first place?!!

Any advice greatly appreciated as I'm about to throw my uv lamp out of the window!!! arrrggggg :irked:

Thanks.xx

The bump from your white should disappear when you apply your top coat of gel over the clear/pink and white.

If it is not then you are perhaps applying your white too thick.

Are you applying one coat of white or two thinner ones?

Sorry i don't use Bio now but i have used it in the past...i am a gel user though....i apply a layer of clear gel over zone 2 and 1 after curing the white...this fills in that dip you are referring too...then i wipe and buff smooth...remove dust and apply topgloss. HTH

Hi

Apply your clear base coat, do your white tip, then build your apex on top using S-gel (or whatever gel you are building with). Check your side view as you go to make sure you are filling that ridge left by the white.

thanks for the advice guys - much appreciated! xx
