which do you preffer and why, ok we change it a little bit what about ibd and brisa what is the difference between these two

Two totally differnt gels....no comparison. Brisa....hard, file off great for longlasting natural enghancements and overlays.

Biosculpture........soft, flexible, soak off, fab range of colours.....brill for fun coloured fingers and toes. Nice for natural and french but if I were wanting permanent french over a length of time i'd go for Brisa.

I think there's room for both in a full service techsportfolio...

Ah now that makes sence, i had a set on for my holls and they lasted really well, i did manage to nibble them off though on my last day waiting for the bus to take us to the airport lol. What about ibd, one of the women i met on holiday used this system in her salon, it looked good to.
Sorry i no i am going from one thing to another i just want to learn so much.

Probably the best thing to do....and i know this doesn't sound like much help to start, is to sit down, have a good read through the articles on here, there are some fab ones of different kinds of products, comparisons, and training articles, then start searching for info on the products you want to know about.

Thing is, you are better off doing the research and then getting more specific with your questions....because what one geek likes, another won't, so asking "what do you think of?" could get you a big variety of answers.

You'll very quickly pick up what are good name brands, and what are the 'lower' quality products.

Hope we can help, but it will be much more difficult for you to make a decision asking about different brands one after another, much better for you to read some of the experiences people have had, and then pick up on q's from there.

thank you chic, one last question though what is your experience of ibd if any

None, other than having had it applied many moons ago when doing my brand research. It seemed fine but I specialised elsewhere. Going out and having a few sets done is a worthwhile exercise.

I dont mind answering this one, Personally ibd was not for me. I didnt find them to be the most durable of enhancements for my clients in regards to the adhesion. Nothing wrong with the system but they didnt offer what i needed.

I agree. IBD was ok, Brisa is fab.

You are wise to ask these questions Jenny. There is so much information out there, it's like a mine field. I wish I had asked more questions before I chose my initial training, not because I was unhappy with my training or the product (I loved it), but because there was sooooo much information at my fingertips. I didn't know it was there or even where to look for it. In hindsight, I would have appreciated more information at the time.

I had only ever heard of Bio & then Pronails (My initial training was with Pronails) and did not realise there were other systems such as Ibd, NSI, Akzents, Calgel, Brisa etc...... As has already been mentioned, it is sensible to do a search and find out more before you decide on a system.

Some techs prefer working with different systems such as a file off gel and a soak off or gel and L&P to suit their clients needs. A good idea is to try and attend a couple of trade shows where you can try different systems on each nail (at no cost to you) and then see what you think.

Good luck with whatever you decide.
