Organic hair enthusiasts can rejoice as Herb UK comes to Birmingham for the first time. The independent hair company has teamed up with the citys only organic hairdressing salon to supply residents with its growing line of Organic Colour Systems and Organic Care Systems ranges.
Founded by entrepreneur and professional hair stylist/colourist Sarah Simpson-Davies (pictured), Puro Hair became Birmingham city centres first salon to use organic-only products when it launched in mid July. Now it has struck another ethical first by serving as the citys sole partner of Herb UK, a range of 100% ammonia-free shampoos, treatments and conditioners.
Sarah Simpson-Davies explained why the deal with Herb UK is so important to the success of the new salon. My motivation behind setting up Birminghams first organic salon was based on the long-held concerns I have about using chemicals on hair, with irritation and allergies being common problems and certain chemicals also linked to cancer," she said. "I want to offer a pioneering service that puts the comfort and care of the client first and therefore provides a truly relaxing and rejuvenating experience. While every detail of the salon has been designed to reflect this approach, the deal with Herb UK means I am able to use a highly regarded range of haircare products and colour systems containing organic certified ingredients that deliver professional results and promote healthier hair.
She continues: As the only salon in the city approved by Herb UK to use Organic Colour Systems and Organic Care Systems, I feel I am in a privileged position of being able to offer clients a service which is simply not available elsewhere. The range of products will really give me the competitive edge, and I am confident that as soon as visitors to the salon see the results achieved by my team of stylists, they will simply never go back to non-organic products. Im also delighted that my clients are also able to purchase these products from the salon or the Puro Hair website, so they can continue with an organic haircare regime in their own homes.
