Bitten Nails

Hiya,

I have a really bad habit of biting my nails without thinking when I watch TV or read etc. Yet the problem I have is that I accidently somehow bit my nail so much some of the top layer needs to grow again. Some parts of it are white from regrowth and it loks horrible! I don't know what to do, I've stopped bitting my nails because of this. However my nail looks really ugly and like it's been slammed on by a door or something. How can I make it grow faster? I'm really embarrassed of my nails and I using wear gloves now or clench my fists. Ty

Well you probably know the most important thing to do -STOP BITING!! I know it is really hard to do. Your fingers just make their own way up to your mouth without you realising and next thing another nail is nibbled to the quick.

Use solar oil night and morning to help your poorly little nails. This will help improve their condition and let the damaged part grow out. Why not put a polish on and this will hopefully remind you if you do put them back in your mouth. The solar oil will still penetrate through the enamel.

if they have grown enough you could try getting a custom blend over lay and tips which would hopefully cover them while they are growing out I used to be a biter But I dont bite tips lol. There isn't alot you can do to make them grow faster though you just have to take care of them hun
