Hey geeks,

I have terrible pores that are prone to congestion and no matter how hard I try they are always full.

I have been for facials in the past and pointed out the problem zones (its pretty obvious tho lol) and asked for extraction and the therapist never seems to get the pores free of all the dirt :(

My problem areas are the nose, chin and the oily bit inbetween my eyebrows.

My question is what should I be going for,is there a specific facial treatment that will get my pores nice and free and also how frequently should I be going for extraction?I understand this can be traumatic for the skin?

Sorry Im just a nail geek so all help is appreciated xxx

Firstly you should be using non-comedonic skincare. A facial once a month should keep your skin squeaky clean.

yes, dermalogica will not give you blackheads. It doesn't contain the nasties that will agravate a blackhead prone skin.

If you click on my skincare site, you can have a good read up about the brand.

I would try a microdermabrasion treatment rather than a standard facial. Crystal clear is very good. You will see an immediate result after the treatment and combined with good skincare that should clear up the problem. Also check the make-up you are using isn't making the problem worse.

I get alot of congestion too. For maintance I would exfoliate and use a refining mask, clay base or mud base once a week on these areas.
