Bleach first?

At the moment I have silverish hair, with dark roots. The last time I lightened and toned was around 4-6 week ago, and I did suffer breakage. I want to go light silver. I have purchased Vitality's 1008 silver, 40 developer and also Nordic Lightener, up to 9 shades.

My question is, can I just use the 1008 silver on the roots first, then the rest of the hair, or do I need to prelightened the roots first then colour the lot with the 1008.

Please visit your hairdresser for a consultation. If money is an issue, you could try your local hairdressing training salon where students are supervised and you are normally only charged a nominal fee.
