Hello,

I am getting my hair bleached after lockdown and I have about 2 inches of regrowth. My base colour is a 3/4 and I normally go to a level 10 before having a toner. I never normally have this much regrowth though and I’m worried the overall colour won’t be as bright as I want because of all the dark hair.
I’m concerned the overall colour will end up grey as the contrast between the light blonde and my dark roots will surely Make a dull colour? Could my hairdresser do more sections of highlights than natural hair, say a 2:1 ratio rather than 1:1? And make sections really small more like baby Lights?

I don’t specialise in colour so any advice to stop me worrying would be great!

I'm sure you hairdresser with adapt their technique to give you the best possible result.

We come across people with all sizes of regrowth and we alter the technique and density of foil placement in a daily basis so I'm sure they will do the appropriate techniques on your hair.

If you express your concerns and worries during the consultation they will give.you the reassurance you need.

It will only look grey if it has been over toned. The benefit of having mote dark among the highlights can normally make the highlights look brighter as the contrast really helps them pop.

If you don't trust your current hairdresser will do a Good job maybe find someone you have more faith and trust in their ability?
