Hi geeks I am now qualified in body massage :)
Just wondered how much you geeks charge for an hour?
Do you include the face?

I know most people look at local competition to see what they charge but to be honest I haven't done this with any of my prices. I just worked out what would be good for me and charged it and it has worked well.

I'm thinking £30 for the hour. I know I have only just qualified but I wont be doing clients until I have practised to the point where I am confident and good enough to provide a good service. Do you think this price is reasonable?
What do you all charge?

hi, congratulations on getting it, for full body massage i literally do from feet to scalp spend bout 65-70mins and charge €60:00, which would be the norm here people charge between €50 - €80, so your price sounds very cheap buyt maybe its good for where you are

Well done Kylie! I bet you're so pleased that you finally have your qualification.

I do a swedish full body (1hr) and a deluxe full body(1hr30). With the deluxe i include a face and scalp massage and a full half hour on the back as a lot of people find this is where they have the most tension.

Normally i do a little on the top of chest/ shoulders to relax them, front of arms, stomach, front of legs (turn over) back of legs, back.

I charge £20 for 30 mins, cheaper than most places by £5, £30 for an hour, £35 for the deluxe. I'm a bit cheap, but i'm happy with my prices and i get plenty of clients. I rent a room.

hi guys

take into account euros against pounds. the only way to know is to see what others in your region are charging.

I charge £34 for 1 hour and it includes

back
back of legs
front of legs
feet
arms
hands
chest
neck
scalp
face
ears

Thank you hun  Yes I am sooo happy :) I needed it for work so now I can train in the wraps and aroma and hot stones. I cant wait!!!!!

Thank you for taking the time to reply. I like the sound of the deluxe massage and for the sake of an extra fiver I bet they all go for this one.
That's a really good idea to give them the choice of both!
I'm thinking of doing back, neck and shoulder too just on it's own.

yes definitely offer neck, back and shoulder by itself, as a lot of people tend to go for that massage over full body.

i do

full body (scalp no face) 1hour = £35
back massage (scalp) 30min = £20 (this by far is the most popular treatment)
deluxe back (scalp and face) 1 hour= £30
holistic facial massage (face, scalp, decollete) 45min = £20

hi ya sweet
i charge £35 for the hour i also include the gluteals, as we use these muscles so much and people dont realise, each time we walk, run stretch, sit we use these muscles. I do scalp, chest (avoiding breast tissue) abdomen, arms, legs turn them over then i do the feet (unless requested not to) back of legs gluteals and then finish with the back.

for an half an hour treatment it is £15

Well done for getting your qualification.

Looking at what others charge, it looks to me like you're on the right lines with pricing. Just check what others in your area are charging, so you can make sure you're not seriously under (or over) charging. You are trying to earn a living, after all!

I always check with the client whether they want their face and/or scalp massaging. Some people just don't like it.

massage is my most popular treatment.

I offer 55 mins for £27 that is either
full body
back
back of body
back, decolletage

I also offer 25 mins for £18

I do have a few clients that book 85 mins and I charge £35

I use techniques to suit the occassion, a mix of swedish, deep tissue, trigger point and hands free, Indonesian and ayurvedic too.

1 hour Sports / Remedial Massage £45
1 hour 15 mins Aromatherapy (clinical) £55
1 hour Swedish Massage £40
1 hour Pregnancy Massage £40
1 hour Acupressure £45
30 mins (all treatments inc IHM) £25

I charge an additional £10 for home visits.
