Hi hi, I recently went to a below-average (my mistake) salon to get my roots touched up (my hair is ash-blonde) and walked out with a terrible brassy, yellow colour. I went back and they toned it which improved the colour for a few days at most. I then bought a toning shampoo and have been using that but to no avail.

I have some Schwarzkopf nordic blonde box dye and was wondering if applying this would get rid of the brassyness once and for all? Or would it make matters worse? If so would going to an expensive salon be the only solution???

Thanks! :)

Step away from the box dye! To be honest, I would cut your losses and get a good salon to fix it for you, then keep your maintenence appointments with them. If you box dye it, you risk seriously damaging your already lightened hair - its really not worth it, cotton wool for hair never really took of fashion wise ;)
