Hi guys ive done waxing more jus over 3 years but when it comes to the bikini area thats all i have done. A friend asked for a brazilian i told her i hadnt trained for it but she insisted so i had a go free of charge but i found it difficult to stretch the skin and she bruised slighty ne help would be much appreciated as i dont want a repeat of this. I got her to position her foot on the opposite inner thigh was this the right stretch for the leg? I jus seem to be woorying about it now as i know i can do all other waxing fine

We all have to start somewhere so dont worry and the more you do the more confident you will become.

There are many good wax trainers out there that can give you some hands on training which would be ideal for you as you can already wax. I believe that Kim Lawless is near you, she is based in Upminster and is a brazilian expert.

Give her a shout as im sure she will be more than willing to accomodate you.

You can also do a search on here as there are loads of useful threads on brazilian waxing.

good luck and let us know how you get on.!!!!

Hi hun, we have all been here at some point so please do not worry chic. Can i ask what wax u are using to start with. Whole sale waxes are great, but to be fair they do not do the therapist or the client any favours beside the fact they are cheap.. love jennyx
Please feel free to pm me and i will help u in any way i can hun

I'd give Kim a buzz we can all sit here and say it was technique, it was wax, ya da ya da, but for brazilians & hollywoods it's not something you can teach yourself in my opinion.

Kim will teach you perfect technique, as well as support for life afterwards, she will show you a premier wax and it's benefits & also help put all your fears at rest & give you uber confidence!

You will get it so don't worry

The reason i ask which wax u used hun, is that if u used strip wax no wonder she bruised, as with any intamate waxing the skin is so delicate and yes the wax used would effect the whole treatment. Could you imagine using strip wax on the labias ouch.

the best wax to use is hot wax no strips

Sorry Jenny, I have to disagree with this. I have waxed Brazilian and Hollywood with strip wax and no clients bruised. I am going to get the non-strip but I think the strip wax is perfectly ok to use.

xx

Yup i also disagree! Strip wax doesn't cause bruising but it does stick to the skin more so it's not as forgiving.

Huberella will tell you, she uses strip wax for everything and never has any problems infact her clients love her. So once again let's not blame the wax!

A lot of people find the hard wax kinder on the skin but it's all just personal preference!

I have always wanted to teach myself brazillians, but I find that even with bikini waxes, the closer you get the labia the harder the hair is to remove!
I have always used strip wax as well... I will try and find some hardwax and find someone to show me one on a model

:)thx for the tip

**PS: how do you position your clients to do the anus and 'crack' area?

I've tried to write this reply several times and it ends up as just a tutorial.

Stretching is only one thing to consider when doing a Brazilian. The application and removal are paramount to the perfect Braz.

There's nothing to stop you trying to teach yourself by trial and error, but unless you are a natural or have developed your own technique, I would strongly advise you to get training. You don't want to cause any damage. xxx

Get them on all fours with their butt in the air and you will have access to the 'hole' thing :green::lol:

Yup! Lol!!!!!!

Or you can get them to bring their legs right up to their chest to gain access.

Guys, i disagree i am afraid, but again this is every one to there own . At no point did i say u could not use strip wax for intamate waxing. I said if she 'used strip wax, no wonder she bruised'. The reason i said this is because strip wax is less forgiving in intamate areas, and as she struggles with holding the skin in the correct place then the wax would not have helped, as it sticks to the skin and the hairs. The skin around the labia is highly sensitive and very fleshy, hence why many of us waxing specielists use oil and hot wax to prevent damage being caused in sensitive areas. Why would we spend extra money on purchasing the wax when we could go to the wholesalers and pick up any strip wax and wax our intamate ladies. This is because of the finish the wax gets, because it is less painfull for the client, because it does not stick to the skin even though the skin still needs to be held firmly bruising does not occur Hence why so many of us, including kim, who told me on my course that she would never dream of using strip wax on the intamate areas because it causes more pain and is less forgiving.
I have been waxed by many proffesionals over the years , i have been in the industry for over 8 years and have always bruised, my tutor who was also an external varifier also bruised me using strip wax and she was a very good therapist. She then introduced me to hot wax, using the figure of eight technique which had better results. But back then not many salons offered this service. When i met kim, i was reluctant to get on the couch, untill she told me the benefits of in the bedroom that is, because of how easily i bruised, she explained why she does not use strip waxing and god were the results unbeleivable. Hence why i asked her what wax she used. So guys we will have to agree to disagree on this one. x

What is the 'figure of eight' technique?

Sorry hun it menat to read figure of eight technique, I am dyslexic and often have to edit my spellin as it is so hard some times. The figure of eight is an old fashioned method of applying hot wax hun, but not used today, but then again some tech may still use this method x

It is still used and is the best technique when using ordinary hot wax ,but not hot FILM wax.

Gill that is good to know hun, my tutor swore by that method of application and credit were credit is due she got results that way, and at the end of the day thats what its all about, the result xxxxxx
