I have started a new job and am doing loads of brazilian waxes using a bubble gummy type hot wax.

I've never done so many brazilians and while I'm confident I'm a bit concerned about remaining hairs... I seem to always have some stray hairs left behind and I'm really worried about going over the area too much. I end up plucking quite a bit and I know this is not ideal (it always takes longer too).

I wondered if I need to put smaller or larger patches of wax on? I'm a bit afraid to put too much hot wax on at once...

Any advice?

You may need to be firmer with your application? This should help elimiate some of the strays. Depending on the brand, a thin firm application might work best. If the wax is thick and you spread it on lightly, it may well leave hairs behind. (Which brand is the bubble gummy wax?)

Do you use oil before applying the wax? A very light application of oil before applying the wax creates a lipid barrier between the wax and the skin, thus protecting the skin and then if it is necessary to go over the area more than once, this shouldn't be too much of a problem
