Hi there,

i recently did a brazillian waxing course, i offer the standard bikini wax at £7, how much should i charge for a brazillian? hollywood? would you advertise it as that or would you put intimate waxing? or extended bikini?
and how do you charge for it?

I advertise it as a Brazilian
and then ask the client exactly what they want when they come for the appointment,
some want some hair left some want it all off but none of them know or understand the different names for each style of the intimate so i just find it easier to ask them,
i charge £35

I charge £25 for a Brazilian and £35 for a Hollywood, and I use hot wax for both. Very few therapists in my locale use hot wax and word is getting around!

I charge the same for a Braz and Hollywood but prices vary from region to region. If you use hot wax and are good at what you do, you can charge top money. xxx

Bare in mind some salons out call it a Brazilian and don't end up doing around the buttocks or anus. Hence you may find their prices a little cheaper.

Brazilian waxing is a specialised treatment, if you are good at it, wax in a professional manner, give good aftercare advice and of course use hot wax, then you can set your price accordingly and get repeat customers.

I advertise as Brazilian and Hollywood witha description of what gets waxed on both, I charge £25 for both and if the client returns within 6 weeks I charge £20 advertised as a maintenence. I also use non strip wax

£35 is my price for a complete brazilian or holywood. when thay don't want the butts to be done or labia, the price is £25, so it really depends on what they after. basic bikini £10, high bikini £15 and so on!!!
if you use hot wax and really good at what you do, do a real brazilian or hollywood, words spread quickly, and people are willing to pay!
I was crap in waxing, no confident at all, trained with Kim and I am a wxing princess now ( still can't beleive it!!!).
thank you Kim:Love::hug::

I must admit i cant condone charging prices like that, i have a very good reputation for waxing and do brazillians and hollywoods on a daily basis. I only charge £9 for as little or as much as they want off and yes i do all the underneath. I think it has encouraged more people to have it done and it doesnt take much longer or much more wax than a normal bikini line. This doesnt mean to say you should under-cut yourself though, maybe i should charge a little more.

Blooming 'eck Leanne....if you're that cheap, I'll come to you myself.

I earn and deserve every penny of what I charge......for the view alone.

For those therapists who have commercial premises I can't see how £9 can cover the cost of the building, business rates, laundering, wax and equipment costs, electricity, national insurance, and at least a minimum wage.
Kim, how long does it take you to do a Hollywood? 25/30 mins? and the clearing up/setting up for the next client? 10 mins? So if you were back to back all day doing Hollywoods at 9 quid a go, you'd take, what, £108. For a whole day's work? Not on your life. I wouldn't do it.

Im a home based beautician so guess i can afford to do it, i quoted cheap from the start to get the practice and confidence, i found it hard to up the price as my customers were also recommending their friends especially as there doesn't seem to be many salons local to me offering this service. I did get a lot more clients who have ended up having other treatments done which was good for business. It only takes 5 mins for me to do and anyone wanting it done for that price i'm in northamptonshire. I also offer free lip & chin waxing with any other waxing treatment that is done on the same day. Everyone loves a bargain! At the end of the day its nearly all profit for me. I ought to state i do have my kit set up and ready to go permanently so i dont have to worry about setting up time, i do mainly waxing on a day to day basis so am very confident hence quick with it, i dont offer facials or massage anymore as i didnt enjoy doing them. I can also wax a whole leg and bikini line within 30 mins on most occasions so it is still very profitable for me and i am very thorough and have a very good reputation for my waxing.

This I must see! A Braz that takes only 5 mins! There'll be a queue round the block to see how you do it!

it took me years to perfect my technique and confidence but its definatly the key i do so many of them nearly all my customers have it done so its second nature to me.

I wouldn't get out of bed for less than ten custard creams.

Yes, your timings are spot on but I always allow chatting time. xxx

5 mins? Never in a million years. There is no way that you get every hair out of the butt, inner labia, outer labia and shape the Braz in 5 mins. What do you use........a blowtorch?

me too i allow a 15 min slot to cover payment, washing hands & getting undressed/dressed which i find plenty of time

I met someone once who reckoned she could do it in 3 minutes, including getting dressed afterwards. I was HORRIFIED. I cannot imagine what that's like for the client. My quickest are about 15 mins but they are people with hardly any hair. But I can see that if you have had the same regulars for years though, it would be much quicker than for clients who are just getting into it.

You have just had me in stitches:lol::lol::lol:

In regards to pricing i charge £25 and £20 if they come regular, ie every 4 weeks. I would love to charge £35 but i suppose that's the difference between good old derbyshire and essex, time to move me thinks:)

In regards to how long, i always book an hour slot, as i love to talk, plus a i am a perfectionist.
Wow 15 min, i could never do it in this time. Half an hour for my regualrs but 15 not a chance. xxxxx

I wonder if Leanne uses hot or strip wax?
