Hello, could anyone give me advice. I have had a phone call today with regards to bridal hair and make-up. The company is called Selma's based in barnsley. Has anyone heard of this company? It's going to cost £300 for both corses. Is this reasonable? I have to give them a ring later. I don't know what to do, PLEASE HELP

Have they sent you details of what will be covered in the course?
Is the course certified with any of the insurance companies?
Is this something you want to specialise in?
Do they have a website? (I googled them and found the details of a lovely young lady called Selma in Barnsley with delicate but firm breasts. Hmmm.)
Where did they get your number from?
Have you called them back on their main number, is it a landline?
Whatever you do don't do anything rash. There are many training companies who are more than happy to take your money off you and give you a certificate of attendance which means nothing.
Any training company worth their salt will be happy for you to speak to satisfied customers.
Don't be rushed into anything!

Yes that's the one, I don't know if they are acrediated. I think I will have to take a further look. They got my number because I was looking for bridal make-up and the only course they dis was hair aswell. It is a lot of money and I wanted to do the make-up even though I a can do make-up and have done a few weddings for family and friends.
Thanks for your advise:hug:

You're thinking of doing a course with a company who advertises as an escort agency?! Please tell me you misunderstood!

AAAAARRRRGGGGHHHH NO!!! I hope you are looking at the wrong website
salmasbeautyacademy.co.uk
You are so freaking me out!

Ah - you said Selma in your first post, not Salma!

Oh My Goodness you had me very worried. Could you check it and see what you think please:)

Hi, I´m sorry but I have to say I think $300 is way to much money for a 2 day course. It takes yrs to master bridal hair & makeup and i would not recommend any course that is shorter than 4 months. I´ve been doing hair & makeup now for almost 6 yrs and I´m always taking courses to better my skills, try finding a course that has a once weekly course and practice practice practice.

I have done an indian head massage with them and they were ok, but my friend has done allsorts with them and diesn't rate them at all, most of the courses she has redone elsewhere as she said she didn't feel they learnnt her enough/properly, her last course was a nail technicial course and to put it bluntly she wasn't impressed she never finished the course as she said she wasn't learning anything from them...she has done a course else where!

I would be wary especially with the price being so high...

This seems very expensive, I did a fantastic bridal hair course at Diamond Head for $75.
