Hi Geeks, quick question (have looked on search but cannot find, as I am sure it will have been asked before:hug:)

Brisa shimmer gels, can they be used over l&p?, do we need to brisa bond first , or go straight over the top of 180grit finished l&P.

Thanking you in advance

Yes it can and no you do not use Brisa Bond over the L&P (it is for the natural nail only) and yes, go straight over the top of 180grit finished L&P.

Brilliant,, next question , is it necessary to go over the shimmer gel with brisa gloss? reason I ask is (1) does the shimmer gel because of the glitter leave a rough surface. (2) I do not want to add too much bulk to the nail enhancement as I prefer the beautiful refined finish iykwim:)

The glitter gels do not need to be applied thickly and I think i would finish with Finishing gloss. Try it and see? Then tell us.

Hiya,

I use the Brisa Shimmer Gel on lots of my clients as a finishing gel. You don't need to put anything else on the top, as the glitter particles are so fine that you can't feel them. I find that it has been especially popular with brides and clients who want a little somthing different, but not "to blingy".

As Geeg says finish with a 180grit file, remove the dust and then just brush the gel, cure, wipe, oil and your done.

I can't think of any other gel that gives the same finish. A lovely soft sparkle and shine.

Hope it helps

Sally X

I always put finishing gloss over the shimmer gels as I do feel they leave a slightly rough finish on their own.

Thank your for your replies, I have ordered the shimmer gel, will let you know what this "fusspot" prefers:lol:

Me again, tried the shimmer gel on its own and with the finishing gloss over the top - well my professional opinion is:green:
******both ways are great******:)
thank you all for your opinions:hug:
I think I will give my clients 2 choices this week, (1) shimmer or (2) shimmer, either way I win and will enjoy:lol:
