hi again

Just updating my previous post (I have a client booked in who wants gel nails taken off and then acrylics done) so the geeks had asked what type of gel was used.

I found out from the salon that done the set that it`s the type of gel you buff off BUT I`m unsure about this now as I thought when buffing off gel there was normally a thin layer left on so as not to end up buffing the natural nail? if that is the case then would doing a set of acrylics over the top now be the wrong thing to do? any suggestions?

Any help much appreciated as I am only trained in acrylic

thanks

You will be fine to buff down the Gel and then put a set of L&P over the top.

Even with a thin layer left? (sorry :o)

As long as the layer that is left is adhered to the nail plate well (has no lifting) then there should be no problem.

The only thing that you may get would be a slight colouration difference, but if you make the Gel layer nice and thin that shouldn't happen.
