Builder Resin for silk nails?

Hi just wondering if builder resin is nessary for silk nails or whether just resin is the same thing? I use Backscratchers where there is just one resin. I'm happy with it but just wondered what difference it would make really.I know Ez Flow do system with builder resin.Any thoughts?

I haven't tried ezflow, nor the one you work with, but with OPI we have a fast curing resine to glue the wrap, and then a thickset that is what you use to create your apex, it's lightely pink...

as for it being necessary... if your resine lets you build a little apex and if your sets are strong enough, I'd say it's not.
