On Tuesday 14th may, CEW (UK) hosted its first "Business Breakfast" at The Avenue Restaurant, St. James and invited Elemis and QVC to share the secret of their successful working relationship.

Sean Harrington, Managing Director of Elemis, Joanne Lee, Buying Director for Beauty & Jewellery for QVC and Steve Bridgeman, Chief Merchandising Officer for QVC sat down to be interviewed by Sue Peart, Editor of YOU magazine.

QVC and Elemis have been working together for eighteen years since their relationship began in 1994. At that point, QVC was a relatively new TV sales initiative dedicated to bringing new and small brands to the attention of a mass audience. Up until then, Elemis had only been available in spas and QVC was an attractive option in that it offered Elemis, and other brands, an opportunity to speak to customers, demo products and tell their brand story, but Harrington admits, it was initially a touch decision for the brand.

Now though, if they had to make the decision again, they would jump at the opportunity. The recent Elemis show sold 48,000 units in one day. Interestingly, 12% of those orders came from mobile devices using the QVC app and overall, a whopping 15% of all Elemis orders come via QVC.

If you're a consumer brand, there's no doubt that QVC is still an attractive platform from which to sell your wares. If you're a consumer brand...

Until then...geek on!
