do you have to pay busines rates if you have a treatment room/log cabin in your home?

you will need to contact the Inland Revenue Valuation Officer for their advice.

They will discuss with you if part of your property now needs to listed as 'commercial' and would therefore be given a rateable value of which your Business Rates bill would then be calculated on.

A lot of small businesses are exempt so if you did come into the list as a business it is more than likely you would be exempt.

They may not think what you have done warrants a valuation doing but they are the best people to speak to.

if they do decide to assess it as commercial, ring your local council business rates team for more advice.

There are different rules regarding adapting your home to run a business and I am not sure how substantial the changes have to be.
