I have been looking around today for private acrylic or gel courses in the area (I was looking to see if Sally’s hosted Young Nails, CND, etc courses….)

Anyway, I found that they don’t have any courses in acrylics or gel available at the moment, but they have a Caflon Ear Piercingcourse for £10 plus VAT.

Is it worth doing this or would I be wasting my time and money?

Yes I think thats what I paid to do my course but you then need to buy the kit which may be about £50 (can't remember the exact price sorry x)

Yes because it is relatively cheap and easy to learn and once you have had half a dozen clients or so you've got your money back and can offer the service for as long as you want. It's usually busiest the first week of the six week school holidays when all the kids want them done and healed for when they return to school as most schools expect the earrings taken out for PE.
Some councils expect you to pay a fee to offer the service but from what I gather this varies from area to area.

Caflon kit is £45.99 I only know coz I won one on the guild competitions this month.
I trained using the normal gun and have my studex kit but I have to say I like the caflon kit better as the earing cant fall out and they are all individually package so each earring is sterile. And its great for blokes as normally have to use a pack and chuck the other earring out but with caflon as each is individual there is no wastage iykwim

i did the caflon course in january for £10 & paid £40 for a big starter kit, i think its worth doing, i'll make my money back after 5 clients!
you should check with your local health department, mine charges £95 for a piercing licence, but some are more expensive x

is it local council or county council you have to license with? I can't find it on any council sites in my area, and I've been thinking about doing this!

for me its my local councils health dept, mine doesn't list it on their website i had to phone them about it and they sent me the forms x

If it doesn't conflict with the end of my course at college I think I am gonna go for it. Thanks for the advice x
