Hi there,
Does anyone use calgel?
I find my overlays start lifting or discolouring after about a week-I have been told by a few people this also happened to them with this particular product but as I am fairly new to the industry I think I may be doing something wrong. Can anybody help? :grr::)

I use calgel and Le chat. If your prep is OK and your building a strong nail it shouldn't be lifting, ( I used to find that if I skimped on the gel on thin nails it would lift) As to the discolouring, do you mean on a French ? it really helps if you mix in a bit of their purple nail art colour into the clear, I'm not sure of the ratio but if you call they will tell you hth

Thank you Lilly, that is helpful information. I do mean on the french-it goes a greyish colour? My prep is what it should be-maybe I am applying it too thinly? How many coats should I put on? I normally only put on one coat?

The french can discolour if you dont use Calcrystal topcoat.
Calgel are really goo dif you have a problem - give them a ring and tell them about your problems. It sounds like prep or gel too thin to me.

Ooh - just thought. It can discolour if you forget to remove Calcrystal too. With the polish being a hint of purple it can build up on the nail. hth x
