Anyone recommend which is better to use and prices? Is calgel a builder gel?

I use Calgel, I tried the nsi secrets and didn't really like it.. Calgel is easier to use, always end up going back.. It's a little more expensive but it's top quality.. U can extend and build with it to.. :)

Calgel all the way. It is such a fantastic gel. I have not had one client who didn't get on with it. To purchase you do have to do a Calgel course, which for me separates us from the people who only want to buy from non authorised to professionals.
They also have now a gel called IZ gel. This is even stronger than Calgel clear. X

Thankyou. Im going to book a calgel course! Looking forward to it! Could you roughly tell me pricewise of the products?

Good on u, hope u enjoy it.. Don't think we're allowed to discuss prices in here 😔 if u contact Calgel/Izabelle hammon they will tell u..x

I use calgel, have their new IZ gel at the moment but I prefer their original gel as its easier to remove, that may just be me but I find their new one takes ages to remove,. just as easy to to apply though. I have the Secrets trial kit but so far prefer Calgel and you only need the one gel with Calgel so cost wise proberely work out same price of cheaper. I always go back to it. going to order some colours in the next couple of weeks. I wasnt going to as I have just invested in some colour gel polishes but the calgel colours would also add strength where the colour polishes dont really do that. Really good company to deal with and very helpful the training is great you wont regret going with them.

Hi all,
I'm still fairly new on this forum.... So not sure if I'm allowed to 'hijack' this post, but I'm also torn between Calgel and NSI...
I have finished my Level 2 Beauty, and I'd like to specialise in nails...
A friend has bought the NSI balance gel kit. We put an extension onto my nails, and when it came to taking it off I found it a nightmare....not sure if it's because I'm very new at this or it thAt it just needs a lot of buffing. I found that we buffed too much off, and flattened my nail plate!!!
For those that have used NSI balance/Secrets or Calgel...
How long does it take to put an extension on either or all of the above and how long does it take to take the whole lot off? Also how easy is it to do an overlay?
My firmed says extensions are the past now...do you guys agree? Is it worth just getting calgel/secrets (as oppose to the NSI balance), and just do overlays- effectively this is almost the same as gellish/CND....?

Sorry for lots of questions. I appreciate your time and your professional opinions.

I don't like the nsi balance as it needs to be filed off. But i havnt tried the secrets gel although i am doing the calgel course because i know how popular it is and how well it works as i get it done to my own nails x

I use both product houses and find the best for easy removal is Calgel it is also the most gentle of products I used. One wouldn't have any damage at all tonight am nail.

Hi K_Everiss,

Calgel is a one phase true gel system which means that the colour can be applied directly on to the natural nail plate. There's no need for base coats and top coats which will save you tons of time! If you want to email me or call me ([email protected]) then I would be more than happy to answer any questions you have!

Hi Laini,

The closest training to Blackburn would be Barnsley.
Does that work for you?

Thanks, thats difficult. I will be flying in from Mallorca, I am trying to find local training to save on Hotels, fares etc. Near to Liverpool could be ok as that will be the airport I will be flying to.

We don't run training in Liverpool I'm afraid. We do run training in Solihull and Milton Keynes which are close to Luton and Birmingham airports though?
The training in Milton Keynes is at our Head Office where we actually offer discounts on the training so I don't know if that may work for you?
Alison.
