Hi geeks
Just wondering if someone could help me. I bought sienna x to try out before xmas as i use tantrick and really love it. anyway i have my friend coming for a tan tonight and she is willing to let me try sienna on her. she likes to be dark usually uses 10%or 12% tantrick. thing is i tried out 12.5 sienna last week and to be fair it was not even as dark as the autumn gold which is 10.5 i think correct me if i'm wrong. Now i'm thinkin i read somewhere that 10% sienna is actually darker than the 12.5% is this correct or am i going mad. Ujst wanted advice before i try it on her tonight. Thanks geeks

Bump! Can anyone help?

the Sienna 10% guide colour is darker than the 12.5% but the 12.5% should develop darker, having said that I have sprayed someone who normally has 10% with the 12.5% because she wanted to go darker and she didnt think it took as well so went back to her 10% next time.....

Dont suppose that has been much help lol, spray her with the 10 if you've already tried the 12.5% and see what happens? they are two different ranges so it could be darker...

o.k i will try the 10 % and see strange aint it that maybe 12.5 is lighter but guess it could be down to different ranges

thats strange lol...im just trying to suss the sienna x and percentages out , i used 10% on clients and now tryed the 12% , the 12% is definetly darker i find x

I must admit I generally use the 10 % on clients that want a darker tan but do have a couple of young girls ( they are stage preformers) and they have tried both 10 & 12 and prefer and say that the 12 is darker. But then again everyones skin is different and develops totally different to the next client.

The 12 and 12.5 are dark enough for people who want a dark tan I find but Sienna have a 16% coming out at the end of the month so why not ask them to send you a sample when its out..xx

I have today received a couple of samples from sienna, and the lovely lady on the phone said that the 10% would be for more olive/dark skinned clients who want a dark tan, and the 8.5% should be suitable for most skin types. Im under the impression that the 10% should give quite a dark tan. hth x

Yeah thats what they say but I use 10% on 90% of my clients, not olive/dark skinned, just like you and me :green:

Maybe the 12 is darker than the 10 but I use the 12.5 which is a different range so may be different? next time I order I might try the plain 8 & 10 instead of the .5%... I was told the .5% range lasted longer by the person I spoke to when I did my very first order so have stuck with it, but the 10% lasts fine so that is good enough...

confused yet? lol lol

Oh ok, so would you put an 8.5% on a redhead/fair skin, 10% on me, (blonde, fairish skin that tans) and then a 12.5% on someone who says they want a dark tan? Im confused, lol

Hi I wouldn't spray a red head with the 8% now, have done and it went a bit orangy obviously to much for her. Might be different for others, but I just ordered the 5% from Tantrick for red heads! So I dont have the same problem again. Hth. Faye.:)

well i used 12.5 on her last night it turned out o.k but something similar to the tan trick 10%. thanks for all your replys sienna is nice but i really think tantrick has the edge over it. but thats just my opionion. Thanks geeks

I would spray brides and really see through people with 8%, people who tan ok and want it to notice more than a golden glow with a 10% and people who tan well in the sun 12.5%, olivey people I will do with the 16% when it comes out, until then they get 12.5% :green:

Even redheads can tan in the sun, I wouldnt just do them 8% because they are redheads, I'd ask how they naturally tan in the sun? some of them dont tan at all, always burn etc, then I'd do them 8%, others tan ok in the sun, go brown eventually etc, i'd do them either 8% or 10% depending how much they wanted it to notice.

Kerry if I tanned you with the 8% it would show and look nice and natural, just a healthy look, but with the 10% it would be more obvious, like you have been away somewhere. hth.

Hi, I've been sampling Sienna X 10% (and will also be trying Tantrick). I thought it was a lovely golden colour but not dark at all. It's great for this time of year though x

I find this strange as I am not particularly dark skinned and the first time I ever tried Sienna I had the 10% and it wasn't dark enough for me at all. I now use the 12% and find it loads darker. xxx

Well with any spray tan solution ..and like most things in life..you do get what you pay for

On the broader issue of the various points being made about different concentration mixes....whilst it might be that different brands when comparing the same % mix may differ due to many factors(quality of concentrate, mix formulation etc) when referring to a singular brands percentage mixes it can only be that the more DHA concentrate the darker(or more prolific) the tan outcome will be. I.E. a 12% DHA concentrate will undoubtably be darker than a 10% DHA concentrate mix if applied to the same individual......any variant to this will be either a difference in application ,less solution used , or in the minds eye.

HTH
