Hi everyone, I am hoping to get my Minx training kit soon. As always wearing a product is the best way to sell it. But, as a tech I constantly file away my nails, they end up all shapes and sizes by doing at least 6 sets a day. I worry that wearing Minx whilst working will make them look tatty and not a good selling feature. Any suggestions? :)

Hi

I had them on my fingers and toes. The toes have lasted 6 weeks and are still on! The fingers didn't do so well, got a bit tatty round the edges after about 5 days, however I beleive Geeg has posted some tips on here about how to keep them looking better on the hands!

I just put some on one hand of natural nails yesterday, with a UV top coat over the top, to give them a test run while working in the salon,
they are on my right hand and i use this one the most so i will see how long it takes me to trash them lol ,
i will let you know

what about nail wrap , that would help as thats what its for ... should work with minx imo not sure though x

Thanks everyone, I guess I will just have to try it. I must use tech wrap more often anyway, my fingers are quite sore at the end of the day. Let me know how it wears on you, Loubylou.

Please let us know Louise this is the one deciding factor before i make a purchase:eek::)

If you just want to show the designs then use clear l&p over the top to protect from scratching with your files.

I took them off today hun, so they lasted 9 days,
to be fair i put one thin coat of glaze and go on 4 and on the other 1 i put on 2 coats,
i have worked in the salon doing all treatments and nails,
cooked and cleaned as normal (no gloves :smack:)
lots of typing,
and everything else that we women do lol,
the 4 with only the 1 coat were starting to lift just at the free edge today but i made them worse by getting acetone onto them today,
the 1 with the 2 coats survived just fine though,
so yes it is possible to wear them and work as a tech at the same time, hth

(if you remind me next week when im back from Glasgow i will put a pic up in my album for you, took 2 mins before removing them)

Hi Loubylou,
I put the set on that I received as a sample pack from Minx. (Gold ones). I then put one coat of UV Gel over them and have worked very hard all week in salon. They have faired very well. So now I just need to get my pack from Sweek Squared. I have to send my certificates to her so that I can register first. I tried direct from Minx in the USA but after going through most of the ordering system, it told me that they could not deliver to me in the uk. Hope I can get them from S2. Everyone has been asking for them after seeing my nails this week. Thanks for al the comments everyone!

They will open you an account as soon as they get your certs hun and you will be able to get them, dont worry
