Hi
I Have Lots Of Cnd & Nsi Powders
But I Also Have Lots Of Nouveau & Sally Asp Liquid
I Guess What I Am Asking Is Can I
Mix & Match The Products
Thank You
it is never recommanded to do some mixing in between brands. especially in sculpting, as it can cause lifting, yellowing, etc. if it's for nail art, as long as it does cure, it's fine. but you have to try before... it can get hot too...
I also do, but I don't know if the combination of the brands mentionned above will match as good as mine do... I know which liquids are similar / equals and which should never be mixed in the range that I have..
I would say don't use it on a natural nail because you will get in trouble since the liquid and powders aren't meant to be mixed up. this can result to lifting, breaking, not properly curing and much more... You don't want to go there
If you on the other hand use it for 3D on top of a finished nail it's ok.
It's always best to stick with l&p from one and the same brand.
i say dont mix & match they didnt come together
so dont put them together if you run out of a product
buy new stuff but only what you need thats what i do
I agree i would not mix you don't know how they will turn out, if you get a bad match you have to start again and that is your time, most systems are designed to blend together so mixing with a different brand can create problems.
There are certain things you should never do, and mixing one brand of liquid monomer with another brand of powder polymer is one of them.
For All the reasons listed above as well as (quite importantly) you will not be covered by insurance should something go wrong. Insurance only covers you if you follow the manufacturers' guide lines for using their product.

mixing as far as on myself or on the spare tips/artificial hand?
on myself I for example would use tammy taylor primer and monomer with ez flow powder. For the nails/hand I use polymer and monomers that i recieved as free samples, or acrylic that i may be low on to just finish it off instead of throwing it all out

Frankly I do not think any professional should be advocating this practise (even if you are only doing it on the trainer hand or yourself) and certainly not on a sit that teaches new technicians HOPEFULLY the right health and safety advice.
Afe practises are safe practices and should be adhered to.
