Hi,
I'm a new member here and look forward to spending time here on this forum.
I am not that great at waxing, especially full legs..dread...:cry:dread...
I feel like I'm too slow. It can take me 1 1/2 hours to do a full leg, bikini and underarm wax. And I feel like the customer has had it by then. Does that sound too long to you?
I'm thinking of purchasing a roller system just for the leg part of the waxing. Can I pour my pot wax into the roller? I like to use Azulene wax and haven't found that all the companies make them. Has anyone tried differen't roller systems and found one to be better than others. I'm worried that it will make a mess. The last thing I need is more wax messes...

thanks in advance for your responses!!

That does sound too long but just aim to get your time down with each full leg wax that you do. Be methodical.

I doubt that you can can pour your wax in as the cartridges are usually sealed (I think). If you can, then go for it. xxx

My beautician uses the clean and easy roller system. The cartridges don't have fixed heads so you can pour wax into them.
Some wax you can buy in cartons which make it easier to pour.
I use a roller for legs. I have the perron rigot heater which keeps the wax at a constant temperature. I use perron rigot roller wax and they come with fixed heads. They are a bit more expensive but the wax goes on so thin, i think it works out about the same price as the cheaper ones. Plus the wax is much better.
The heater is insulated so you are not holding the wax cartidge and the wax doesn't cool too quick. It only holds 100g cartridges though.
It's really compact though and doesn't take up much room so is great for legs. I have 2 hive wax heaters too but i love the roller for legs :)

Be gentle on yourself... your speed will improve over time... Be very methodical in your application and cover large areas with wax before beginning to remove it. (Creme wax is better for speed waxing in my opinion, if you use a clear / honey wax it may start to dry on the skin but a creme wax is less likely to.)

If you want to continue with a roller, I am fairly certain Clean and Easy do an Azulene wax. Is your roller system for 80g or 100g cartridges?

I do not like any of the clean and easy wax so i decant other wax into the cartridges once they are empty. At the mo i really like the babyliss wax which is a shimery lilac wax and can be spread very thinly at a low temperature.
I heat it in my pot a wee bit hotter than normal so it runs very freely and then pour it in the cartridges.
I fill the smaller cartridges from the larger ones.
Clean and esy have seperate roller heads you buy so you can takeoff clean and sanitise between clients.

I transfer my pot wax into the clean & easy rollers hth

Hi hun.. Im not sure if you can get it in Isreal but in England you can get phd wax this could potentailly reduce your waxing time?? xxx look it up x

I would book out an hour to do full leg, bikini and underarm, but might or might not take that long depending on the client.

When i started it would take me an hour to do full leg alone.

How long have you been waxing? Do you do much waxing? If not you can lose your touch. Or you might consider a specialist wax course to improve your speed.

This industry is all about CPD (continual professional development) so i'm doing a speed waxing course with Kim in Febuary. I find that full arms are my downfall so i hope to improve this.

HTH xx

hi hun i use clean and easy roller system and it cut my time down by half it is one of the easiest roller systems to clean i find. i pour pot wax into the tubes and do not have any problems with this. Like the other ladies are saying the more you do the quicker you become but its not the speed that clients are to bothered about its the quality of the treatment so it may take you a bit longer but if you have got a smooth finish then at least you know your clients will return.:)

Angelina,
have you tried pouring crystal ocean into the clean and easy system?. I thought about perrons roller system as i use their waxes, but as you say the cost of the cartridges is a consideration.
I really glad i logged on tonite and found this thread, i'll check out the C+E system price and will maybe give it a go.
Happy New Year xxxxxxxxx
