Sorry to ask such a stupid question, but I am learning nail art and have to produce 2d and 3d nail art designs - what sort of design would be classed as 2d and what design as 3d? :o

2D (two dimensional )
definition Fine Arts & Visual Arts / Art Terms) (of painting or drawing) lacking the characteristics of form or depth
So flat mediums. paint, glitter , marbling , stickers

3D is raised ,
2. (Miscellaneous Technologies / Photography) (of a film, transparency, etc.) simulating the effect of depth by presenting slightly different views of a scene to each eye
3. (Mathematics) having volume
4. lifelike or real

so Acrylic sculpted flowers etc , attached gems , bullion , that sort of thing.
