Can you combine UV Gel products?

I'm really new to this, literally only did my course a few weekes ago.
I'm currently using Salon System for everything as that's what I trained with and get tested on.

However the UV Gel I have is a buff off gel, which is a nightmare when practising and taking it off again! I want to invest in some soak off gel, but does this mean I have to buy all new products? Can I still use the Salon System products with a different gel? I.e the wipe off, prep spray, bonder etc.

Any hints, tips or suggestions on what products to use would be appreciated!

Not sure what your SS requires, but usually the prep products are all generally the same stuff. No reason why you should not be able to use it with any gel system. The bonder/primer and base would be something that I would not mix from traditional to soak off gels though.

I use OPI Axxium, a little bit of NSI Illusion and now have gone to the "gel polishes" in the form of Gelish. Am very happy with Gelish!

I've seen the gel polishes, I don't really understand how it can give the same effect as gel. It's hard to tell I guess without actually seeing or trying the product. Would you say it's as effective and strong as traditional gel? Also are they not a bit of a lazy alternative lol?

You are right they don't.

Gel polishes are gel polishes and in no way have the strength to replace an enhancement gel.

Gel polishes are a zero dry time colour coat system and are not in the same league as soak off gels for strength so don't let anyone confuse you.

Soak off gels do one job and gel polish does another and they are not the same.

Gel polishes are a different category of service and wrapping off to remove them is the only thing they have in common with enhancement products.
