Hi,

I am doing my first wedding fayre tomorrow, and am a little nervous. Should I offer a discount if people book on the day? Would you take a deposit or do this at a later stage? Would be great if someone could get back to me today.

Also I wasn't going to do any demonstrations as I thought I might miss passing trade. Do you think this is ok?

hi there

I am sure youll be fine, in answer to your questions, we find that many people wont want to commit to booking on the day. So, we offer a discount if book within a month of the fair and say that they saw us at the fair.

We also do demos, to be honest people like to see your work, and i hate standing around, so when it gets quiet we demo.

best of luck, hope you do very well!

If it was me.. I would do demos.. you'll be amazed by the amount of interest it will create and it will give you the chance to show off your skills..I honestly don't think you'll lose out by doing them.

I would just do a sample nail.. maybe show them the difference between an overlay and an enhancement.

It would be no harm to take a small deposit just to secure the booking and maybe a discount for anyone that books on the day.

Don't forget to take mobile numbers and text to remind them about their appointment.

Remember to ask how many bridemaids they have and if she'd like to book them in too and the mother of the bride of course.... oooohh and don't forget to mention gel on toes etc..

Best of luck... you'll really enjoy it:hug:

Thank you so much everyone. I will let you know how I get on.

Debbie
