Can you tell me what this is

A month ago, a lady came in and had a weird white patch on her toenail. She asked if it was fungus, I told her I couldent be sure and she should see a doctor. She came in today, and this is what it looks like now, its gotten all yellow and mushy looking. Shes going to the doctors in a couple weeks, but we would like to know what you all think it is. looks like fungus to me, but even if your not sure with a nail looking like that id refer her to her GP for sure. i think you did the right thing

yep looks like it could be fungal to me too. I would have asked her to seek medical advice before treating her again.

I hope you didn't touch her with anything and if you have that it is all thoroughly cleaned and disinfected including your towels etc. She needs to see a chiropodist soon.

She definately should see a doctor - but it kind of looks like psoriasis to me. Its so hard to tell!
